Setting Up Your Address Book
Do Some Good uses the information in your address book to determine who to show your content to and where to publish it.
All content on Do Some Good is geo-targeted so a user will see stories, events, and positions where they are located. This keeps all content hyper-local.
To set up your address book, head to the "Profile & Addresses" page in your left-hand navigation and click on the "Addresses" tab.
Adding addresses is super easy. Just click the green "Add Addresses" button in the top right corner. You then have two options: add a Physical Location where you actually have a storefront or add a City That You Operate In (no storefront).
In order to get the most reach and exposure possible for your brand, and the stories, events, and positions you post, we recommend that you fully set up your address book as soon as possible.
When you add your physical locations, you can decide which is your primary location (main office, headquarters) using the "Make Primary" button. Your primary address is what will appear on your profile.
If the address you add is in a media location, the number of media properties will be indicated next to the storefront or 'operates in' location.
Customizing Your Business Settings
To customize your business settings, head to the "Profile & Addresses" page in your left-hand navigation and click on the "Settings" tab.
Automatically Approve Stories
Typically, when one of your employees posts a story on Do Some Good and @mentions your company, that story is added to your approval queue and is not published on your company profile until you approve it.
However, you can give permission for the platform to auto-approve stories posted by your admins or posted by ANY employee listed in your Teams tab, saving you time and keeping your profile fresh!
Fiscal Year & Time Zone
When you set your fiscal year, all of your reports on the platform that have a date range will default to your setting, ensuring that all of your data is aligned with your company's schedule. The same goes for setting your time zone.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
These Single Sign-On fields only appear if your company has purchased the Single Sign-On feature and configuration. For more details on SSO settings, see this article.
If your business uses Azure Active Directory SSO and you're interested in using it for Do Some Good, contact our team at hello@dosomegood.ca.
