Do Some Good has always provided our entire suite of product features for free to not for profit organizations because of the generous support of our Good Companies who subsidize development with their subscriptions fees.
Although there will always be a powerful version of Do Some Good available to all not for profit organizations, we may at some point create a paid package for high volume users. That being said, we will never delete or un-publish anything you create before a premium package is implemented.
The reason we would start charging a subscription fee would be to offer more training, support and custom features for large organizations. We expect that 99% of our organizations would never need any of the paid features of our platform.
If we decide to make a paid package for organizations, the kinds of things that may be limited in the future could include things like:
- Form Limits: We may choose to place a generous limit on the number of forms that an organization can have published at any one time.
- Submission History: We may choose to limit the age of submissions you can see in the management and reporting areas. Large organizations with data warehousing requirements may wish to have unlimited access to their entire history of form submissions.
- Validated Volunteers: Once an organization has many hundreds of volunteers, it is an indication of how much they are using not only our platform, but also how much support they require as well as the sophistication of their organization. Someday, a fee may be imposed to manage, recruit and schedule very large numbers of volunteers.
- Processing Grant Requests: If you have a well funded foundation that gives away large sums of money to the community as part of your mandate, we may charge a fee for enabling the funding approval workflow.
