I have applied for a new volunteer position, why can't I log hours for it?

If you are applying for a new volunteer position on the "Get Involved" page, you will not be able to log hours for this position until you are approved for that position by the organizer.

Once approved, the position will change from "pending" to an active role on your profile and will automatically be added to the drop-down list on the "Log Hours" page.

Other ways to be able to log hours:

• Visit an organizations' page, click "Favourite" and choose "I'm a volunteer". This will add the organization as a choice in the drop-down on the Log Hours page

• Add a current or existing position from your profile, which adds it to the drop-down on the Log Hours page. When you first create this position, you will also have the option of logging any hours you have already completed for the current year or any past year since you began this position.

• Add a past or historical position from your profile. When you first create this position, you will also have the option of logging all hours for the position for the current year or any past year since you began this position.
